What we collect
Jollyboat collects your email address and display name when you create an account. If you choose to share your location with trip companions, we store your GPS coordinates temporarily in our database while location sharing is active. We also store the trip, itinerary, packing, and guide data you create in the app.
How we use it
Your data is used solely to operate the Jollyboat service — syncing your trips across devices and sharing them with the travelers you invite. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Location data
Location sharing is always opt-in and controlled per trip. You can turn it off at any time from the Map tab or from Trip Settings. Location data is only visible to members of the specific trip it is shared with.
Third-party services
Jollyboat uses Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and storage. Your data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure under Firebase’s standard security and privacy protections.
