How It Works

From the first confirmation email to checking “passport” off the packing list.

  1. 01

    Create a trip

Give your trip a name, pick your dates, and add who's coming. Jollyboat keeps a separate space for each trip so nothing gets mixed up.

  2. 02

    Build your itinerary

Add flights, hotels, restaurants, and activities by hand — or forward your confirmation emails to import@mail.jollyboat.app. Jollyboat recognises you by the address you send from, reads the booking, and files it as a draft plan for you to check.

  3. 03

    Build a trip guide

Save restaurants, neighborhoods, and tips to a shared guide for the trip. Pull from places you've already saved in your City Guide, or add new ones as you research.

  4. 04

    Travel together

Check your shared packing list before you leave. On the map, see every plan pinned by location. Share your live location with your crew so everyone knows where to meet.

A trip, end to end

The itinerary on a timeline, every plan pinned on the map, and a packing list the whole group shares.

Who makes it

Built by a family, for families

Jollyboat started as a small family project, built by the people who use it. We couldn’t find an app that showed a trip the way we actually take one: planning it together, adding finds to a guide we all write, seeing each other on a map in relation to the lunch spot we’re converging on from different side quests.

Got a packing list fan in the family? We do, so that’s not a separate app. Shared and private lists are built in, and anything that doesn’t have an obvious home goes in the trip notebook.

We borrowed ideas from apps we’d used for years: forwarding a confirmation email to import it, a notification when someone adds a plan. And we added what we kept wishing for: sharing the trip with followers, not just travelers, so grandma can follow along from her own device.

Jollyboat is what came out of that, and we’re still building it. For all quests and side quests.

One place for the whole trip, and everyone on it.
